We do offer while-you-wait rehairs, should you require quicker turnaround. Please schedule your appointment as such. While-you-wait rehairs typically take about an hour, and incur an additional $15 rush fee. We recommend running additional errands or grabbing lunch while we do the rehair; there are a number of cafes and restaurants in the area.

Mount Airy Violins & Bows stocks a variety of types of horsehair for use on bows. If you have a specific requirement (white hair vs. black/brown, or level of waviness), let us know, and we’ll accommodate your wishes. We also maintain a small supply of artificial hair, if you want an animal product-free rehair, as well as several hanks of dyed hair if you’d like to add some color to your bow!
