Short-Term Rentals
In the Philadelphia area for a short time, and need an instrument? Mount Airy Violins & Bows offers short-term rentals.
Short-term rentals are limited to a total of four consecutive weeks. They accrue no credit, but allow players to rent any non-consigned instrument of their choice.
Mount Airy Violins & Bows offers two levels of short-term rental, Standard and Pro.
STANDARD SHORT TERM RENTAL
Limited to instruments we currently have in stock from our rental fleet. We’ll try to match you with an instrument of roughly equivalent value to your own instrument. If your personal instrument is more expensive, we recommend using our Pro-level rental, detailed below.
Standard short-term rentals cost $50/wk for violin and viola, and $100/wk for cello.
We also ask for a deposit of $500 upon pickup of the instrument. This deposit is fully refundable, less any necessary charges for repairs to the instrument. Rental fees are deducted from the deposit upon return of the instrument. Deposit refunds are returned via check.
PRO SHORT TERM RENTAL
Rental charges are 1% of the price of the instrument rented per business day.
We also ask for a deposit of $500 upon pickup of the instrument. This deposit is fully refundable, less any necessary charges for repairs to the instrument. Rental fees are deducted from the deposit upon return of the instrument. Deposit refunds are returned via check.
While the renter may pay the deposit using any payment method, they are required to provide a valid credit card number to be kept on file for the duration of the rental.
Pro rentals are limited to non-consigned instruments and bows. Photo ID and shop reference (from your home shop) required.
